Chris and Leah: The Wedding!
Wedding Day Details

When we were originally imagining our wedding, we wanted to have a cruise wedding. We put this idea aside for a number of reasons: for one, Leah's parents refused to "fly, float or ski" for the wedding; it also would have kept many of our friends from attending due to timing and financial restrictions. Thus we decided to do a land-based wedding and keep the cruise as a honeymoon/big week-long party. With that in mind, we're inviting you to cruise with us!

Cruise Details

We're cruising on Norwegian Cruise Lines' ship Norwegian Dawn from New York to Bermuda for a 7-day cruise. The cruise leaves on Sunday, October 12th at 4pm and returns on Sunday, October 19th at 8:00 am. The full itinerary can be found here on NCL's website.

We chose Norwegian Cruise Lines in part because of their Freestyle Dining: eat in any restaurant when you want, with whom you want. No set seating or table assignments, no awkward conversation with people you don't know. We had a wonderful experience with NCL in June of 2007, so we're sticking with them. The Dawn has twelve restaurants and nine bars. Food is all included (even room service!) except for three of the restaurants that have a (reasonable) surcharge. Norwegian also has their Freestyle Bermuda "Dining Ashore" program, where you can pay a small surcharge to enjoy a large credit at some of Bermuda's fun and fabulous restaurants. Along with the eating, there's a great 24-hour fitness center, a movie theater, live entertainment, pool, hot tubs, spa, and fabulous shore excursions, among other numerous ways to spend your day.

"Do you really want us with you on your honeymoon?"

Of course we do! We're excited about being on our honeymoon, but the joy of cruising is that everyone can vacation with us without us all being together all the time. We can do dinner together, share some shore excursions or margarita tastings, but also go our separate ways when we want to. It's like the best of a honeymoon and a party all in one. Best of all is that there is no set guest list: bring friends, dates, strangers... anyone you think would have fun on a cruise. Feel free to team up with friends and pack into a stateroom; prices per person go down significantly with three or four in a room.

Pricing

These prices are per person and include all taxes and fees, but do not include (optional) cruising insurance. Prices are subject to change, but hopefully not by much. The prices listed below are for double occupancy.

Interior Stateroom: $850.88/pp
Oceanview Stateroom: $970.89/pp
Balcony Stateroom: $1290.69/pp
